Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 28, 2026
This policy explains how Snowskid collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our site.
What we collect
Web analytics
We may use analytics services to collect standard traffic data: pages visited and time on page, browser type and operating system, referring URL, approximate location (country/region), and device type. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
Affiliate cookies
When you click an affiliate link, third-party affiliate networks (e.g., Amazon Associates, ShareASale) may set cookies on your device to track referrals. We do not control these cookies — they are governed by each network's own privacy policy. We receive only aggregate commission reports and cannot identify individual purchases.
What we do not collect
- We do not require account creation or collect login credentials
- We do not collect your name, email, or personal contact details (except when you voluntarily contact us)
- We do not sell or rent your data to third parties
- We do not build advertising or retargeting profiles
How we use data
We use analytics data to understand which content is most useful, improve site navigation and performance, and measure overall traffic trends.
Third-party services
| Service | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Vercel Analytics | Web analytics (privacy-friendly, no cookies) |
| Vercel | Hosting (privacy policy) |
| Affiliate networks | Referral tracking (varies by network) |
Your rights
EU visitors (GDPR)
If you are in the European Union, you have the right to access any personal data we hold, request deletion, and withdraw consent for analytics tracking at any time. To block affiliate cookies, adjust your browser cookie settings.
California residents (CCPA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request deletion. We do not sell personal information.
To exercise your rights (access, deletion, opt-out), email us at privacy-requests@snowskid.com. Requests must include your name and email for verification. We will respond within 45 days.
Affiliate Cookies & Opt-Out
When you click an affiliate link on Snowskid, third-party affiliate networks set cookies to track referrals. These cookies allow us to earn a commission if you make a purchase. You have the right to opt out of this tracking.
To opt out of affiliate tracking:
- Amazon Associates: See Amazon's Cookie Policy for opt-out options.
- ShareASale: Manage preferences in your ShareASale account or adjust browser cookie settings.
- Browser-level opt-out: You can also disable all cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect site functionality.
Note for California residents: Opting out of affiliate tracking cookies does not require you to opt out of our analytics. Vercel Analytics is cookieless and does not require consent.
Cookies
| Type | Purpose | Opt out |
|---|---|---|
| Analytics | Page-view tracking (aggregated, no cookies) | N/A — no personal data collected |
| Affiliate tracking | Purchase referral attribution | Browser cookie settings |
Data retention
Analytics data is retained per our hosting provider's default settings. We do not maintain separate user databases.
Material Connection Disclosure
Snowskid occasionally accepts review samples from manufacturers and retailers. This is a material connection — we receive gear at no cost for evaluation and possible coverage. Receiving a review sample does not influence our editorial independence, product ratings, or recommendations.
When an article reviews a product received as a sample, we disclose this in the article itself. We analyze gear the same way whether or not a sample was provided. If we think a product falls short, we say so.
Changes
We may update this policy as our services evolve. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
